Biographical History

Charles Robert (Bob) Long was born in 1936. He worked with Pacific Ocean Biological Survey Program as a plant collector in 1964, and served on two of the Southern Island Cruises. Bob went on to work as an editor on the Council on Botanical and Horticultural Libraries Plant Bibliography series, as well as with the New York Botanical Garden. He died in 1986 at the age of 49.
