Biographical History

Ernest G. Holt (1889-1983) was an ornithologist who collected birds in Brazil in 1930. Holt worked as an ornithologist for the Soil Conservation Service for many years, and dealt with soil and wildlife relationships, several bird species, and mammals. He was vice president of the Wildlife Society in 1936. Holt joined the Washington Biologists Filed Club in 1937 and was an active member until his death in 1983.
