Biographical History

A. Binion Amerson was born in 1940, and conducted work with the Pacific Ocean Biological Survey from 1962-1970. He received a B.S. in biology from Mercer University in Georgia, and a M.S. in ecology and environmental studies from the University of Kansas. Amerson went on to become an ecologist, environmental consultant and technical writer. He has written numerous books and articles on biological diversity in the Pacific Ocean.
