Robert E Kuntz was an officer in the US Navy serving in the Medical Service Corp. He researched and published in the field of parasitology. His publications covered locations in the Middle East, United States and Asia. Robert E. Kuntz's field work in Formosa [Taiwan], 1959 - 1962 is documented in the Division of Mammals at the National Museum of Natural History.
