Biographical History

Frank X. Holzner studied and collected in zoology. He collected birds and mammals for the U.S. National Museum. His field work in the northern United States is documented in the Division of Mammals, at the National Museum of Natural History. He also participated in field work for the International Boundary Commission during the 1890's, along the border of Mexico and the United States with Edgar Alexander Mearns.
