Biographical History

G Dallas Hanna (1887-1970) was born in Carlisle, Arkansas, in 1887. In 1911, he attended the University of Kansas and studied zoology, paleontology and chemistry. He worked for the United States Bureau of Fisheries and conducted work in Alaska, documenting aquatic biology and wildlife; and also worked for the California Academy of Sciences. Much of his field work was conducted in Alaska. He died in 1970.
