Biographical History

Oscar Lee Haught (1893-1975) was a geologist and amateur botanist who contributed approximately 900 plant specimens to the West Virginia University Herbarium. He also contributed 900 specimens for the United States National Herbarium, Colombia, and South America. He also collected plant and animal fossils in the Dunkard geological series.
