Biographical History

Charles R. W. Aschemeier was a U.S. National Museum taxidermist. Aschemeier was born on September 19, 1892. From 1917-1919 he served as collector for the Smithsonian during the Collins-Garner Expedition to the French Congo. Charles died on May 15, 1973 at 80 years old.
