Description

The U.S. Bureau of Land Management (BLM) contracted with Texas Instruments, Inc., to conduct the South Atlantic Benchmark Program (SABP) in 1977. The SABP collected environmental data in the Georgia Bight off the coast of North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, and Florida, to assist the BLM in the implementation of the Outer Continental Shelf Lands Act of 1953 and the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) of 1969.
