Dr. Betty Meggers, Director of the Latin American Archaeology Program, National Museum of Natural History, and her husband, Clifford Evans, were the first archaeologists to study ancient Amazonians and they revolutionized thinking about early human activity in the Amazon rainforest. #Groundbreaker
