Yesterday, Smithsonian Intern Joseph Caputo wrote a great piece about click! photography changes everything on the Around the Mall blog. In his post, he said that click! got him thinking about how Facebook users choose to represent themselves in photographs on their profiles.
Joseph noted that our Facebook profile photos allow us to tell the world, “This is who I see myself to be.” In the end, he concluded that what has changed with the Web and digital technology “is the frequency [with which] we can create and share these representations.”
How about you? If you use social networking sites, how often and why do you change your profile picture?
