Ch-ch-ch-changes, 2015 edition!

It is with sadness that I report that Mitch Toda is stepping down as the blog coordinator. Since 2011, Mitch Toda has been the man behind-the-scenes making sure everything runs smoothly. As a staff archivist, he works daily with the records he takes in from Smithsonian museums and offices such as the new National Museum of African American History and Culture, the Office of Facilities Management and Reliability, the National Portrait Gallery, and the Consortium on the Universe. Mitch brought a fresh perspective to the blog and kept everything in order which was no small task given we have 22+ writers! He also is an amazing baker and would bring in homemade treats for our bi-monthly editorial meetings. Lucky for us, he will still serve as an archivist and occasional office party coordinator extraordinaire.

To balance the sad, I would also like to happily announce that Hillary Brady will now be the blog coordinator! She comes to us from the Digital Public Library of America and is the Archives' Digital Services Program Assistant supporting our work on outreach and electronic records archiving. She already has ideas for increasing your behind-the-scenes access using Periscope, so stay tuned...
