Often the handbooks were published to coincide with exhibitions. The records also include "More Than Meets the Eye" by Russell Lynes, an illustrated 1981 book about the history and collections of the Museum. In addition, the records contain a book and four tabloid publications from the "Immovable Objects" exhibition series, and a book of essays from the symposium "The Edge of the Millennium," organized by the CHNDM in 1992.
