This accession consists of records documenting the planning and execution of exhibits, including Collection in Context: Raymond Duchamp-Villon's 'The Horse'; Faces of Friendship: The Art World Circle of Joseph and Olga Hirshhorn in Documentary Photographs; Brice Marden Work of the 1990s: Paintings, Drawings, and Prints; and Dali's Optical Illusions. Judith Zilczer, Curator of Painting, maintained these records. Materials include memoranda; correspondence; checklists; notes; label copy; floor plans; incoming and outgoing loan agreements; photocopies of photographs with autographs made out to Joseph H. Hirshhorn; color slides of artwork; black and white photographs of artwork; black and white photographs and contact sheets of special events, including images of Lawrence Small, Secretary; lists of artworks; promotional materials for exhibits at other museums; visitor count reports; press clippings; bibliographies; and lecture transcripts.
