This accession consists of materials which document the participation of Elizabeth Broun, Director, Smithsonian American Art Museum, 1989- , in various Smithsonian and non-Smithsonian associations, committees and councils. Such entities include The Art Museum Image Consortium (AMICO), the Consortium for the Computer Interchange of Museum Information (CIMI), the Cosmos Club, the Council on Library and Information Resources, the Denver Art Museum, the Friends of Art and Preservation in Embassies, the Latino Program Planning Committee, the Museum of the Americas Foundation, and the Women of the West Museum. Some materials date to when the museum was known as the National Museum of American Art. Materials include correspondence, memoranda, and clippings.
