Summary

The Permanent Committee reported that it feels that it is important to define the contradictions between the Freer Deed of Gift and Will, and to try to interpret them fairly. The Regents have received copies of the papers containing the will and other papers of Mr. Freer as well as the interpretations provided by Mr. John E. Lodge, Miss Katherine Rhoades, Dr. Charles Doolittle Walcott, Colonel Frank J. Hecker and Mr. Charles E. Platt. A special law committee was formed to consider certain matters pertaining to the Freer fund.
