Summary

Following the presentation of the second Charles Lang Freer Medal to Professor Ernst Kühnell of Berlin, Germany, delegates enjoy a reception and tea in the upstairs galleries of the Freer Gallery where a special exhibit of Near Eastern and Oriental art was displayed in honor of the Fourth Congress. Dr. Kühnel was given the medal in recognition of his outstanding achievements in and contributions to Near Eastern art.
