Bea Wetmore is in a field with Semy's family including two women dressed in native apparel and two children from the Isla Naranjo, San Blas, Panama. Bunches of bananas are lying on the ground at each end of a pole. The image was taken by Smithsonian Secretary and ornithologist Alexander Wetmore while on an ornithological expedition to Panama.
