This accession consists of records documenting the program activities of Carla M. Borden in the Office of Interdisciplinary Studies (OIS) and, before 1987, when she was a Program Specialist in the Office of Symposia and Seminars (OSS). A few records also date from when Borden was no longer with OIS but a Program Manager at the Smithsonian Center for Folklife and Cultural Heritage. Materials include correspondence, memoranda, and notes; proposals; program information; lecture papers; OSS Advisory Committee meeting agendas and minutes, as well as member interviews; photographs; and supporting documentation.
