This accession consists of approximately 233,000 email messages of George Van Dyke, Director of the Information Technology Operations (ITO), 1999-2012. Prior to 1999, Van Dyke served as a team leader. Van Dyke also served as Acting Chief Information Officer from 2011 through his retirement in early 2012. Topics documented in this accession include administration of ITO and the Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO) as well as projects, policies, infrastructure, technology, information security, and general information technology operations. Materials are in electronic format. In 2001, the unit was renamed from the Office of Information Technology to OCIO.
