This accession consists of the "Smithsonian Collections Blog" as it existed on July 16, 2014. The blog highlights the hidden treasures from over 2 million collections by bringing together archivists, museum specialists, and librarians from around the Smithsonian Institution to write about new collections, current works in progress, or other interesting materials in order to highlight collections, unveil hidden collections as they come online, and relate to current events with historical artifacts, art work and research materials from the past. The blog opened in March 2012. Materials are in electronic format.
