This accession consists of the website of the Global Genome Biodiversity Network (GGBN) as it existed on June 4, 2014. GGBN is a global network of well-managed collections of genomic tissue samples, benefiting society through biodiversity research, development and conservation. The network fosters collaborations among repositories of molecular biodiversity in order to ensure quality standards, improve best practices, secure interoperability, and harmonize exchange of material in accordance with national and international legislation and conventions. GGBN's secretariat is hosted and supported by the National Museum of Natural History. The website provides information about the network and how to become a member. It also includes downloadable newsletters, brochures, flyers, and other documents. Genomic data is not included in this accession. Materials are in electronic format.
