as I perceive a meeting advertised in the N[[superscript]] v [[/superscript]] Int[[superscript]] k [[/superscript]] which with much respect I find myself by an indispensible preengagement [[strikethrough]] [[forfeit?]] [[/strikethrough]] unable to attend, permit me to suggest to you that some marked attention should be paid to our departed member Mr. Little, so much esteemed by all & whose loss is irreparable.
I cannot express the fullness of my soul at this lamentable sudden derivation you all sympathize with me.
