Summary

This collection contains three field books by John C. Barber, originally maintained by the Division of Birds. Dates for this collection range from 1978-1980 and localities include but may not be limited to Jamaica, the Dominican Republic, La Vega, La Altagracia, and Haiti. Material consists of three bird specimen lists, entries of which include information such as date, species name, sex, locality, weight, physical measurements, preparation method, and additional brief notes. Field numbers are also provided, as is a photocopy of one of the notebooks. Additional collectors include David W. Steadman, M. E. Melville, and Katherine L. Pruitt.
