Summary

This collection consists of the field notes of Joseph Nelson Rose from collecting trips to Mexico, the southwestern United States, and other locations to collect cacti. The majority of Rose's field notes are lists of plants, and two different types of collector numbering conventions appear to have been used. Some items include more narrative observations in Mexico of life and culture. Greenhouse notes on cacti are also included as well as several plant specimens.
