Descriptive Entry
Webster Prentiss True served the Smithsonian Institution as Editor, 1919-1939, and was given the title of Chief of the Editorial Division, Smithsonian Institution Press, in 1940, a position he held until his retirement in 1951. These papers consist of correspondence, memoranda, and various project files relating to exhibitions, television programs, lectures, and presentations.
