- Frederick Kreutzfeldt ( -1853) was a German botanist who accompanied John C. Fremont's survey of the 38th parallel, 1848, and Captain John W. Gunnison's 38th parallel expedition, 1853. Kreutzfeldt was killed in the massacre of the Gunnison party on October 26, 1853

Apparently none of these is the original. In addition, the translations cover the period from June 18 to October 23, 1853, while the German version contains no entries later than October 11, 1853

Historical Note
Frederick Kreutzfeldt ( -1853) was a German botanist who accompanied John C. Fremont's survey of the 38th parallel, 1848, and Captain John W. Gunnison's 38th parallel expedition, 1853. Kreutzfeldt was killed in the massacre of the Gunnison party on October 26, 1853.
