Abstract

The volume documents field work of E. O. Ulrich in the Southern Appalachian Valley, 1901, 1906, 1907, 1911, 1938-1940. The notebook begins with a typed index listing location and page number. Entries contain travel details, descriptions of numbered localities including geological characteristics, geological sections with notes, notes on fossils present. Includes numerous pasted inserts. Locations are in Virginia, Arkansas, Georgia, Kentucky, and Tennessee.
