Abstract

The volume documents the work of Richard E. Grant in Alaska (September 1 - 23, 1967) and Washington DC (undated). Includes loose postcards. Entries are dated and headed with location. They are narrative in structure and describe travel details, weather, work completed in the field, samples taken, geological characteristics, and descriptions of terrain. Locations include Nation River and Calico Bluff in Alaska. Sites in Washington DC are numbered (stop 1 - 5) and include locations: entrance of Georgetown University, Chain Bridge, Brook Branch Road, old Zoo Entrance, and the Paint Branch Bridge at Silver Spring.
