Abstract

The photograph album documents Alexander Wetmore's work in Panama during 1961. Photographs are numbered, and captioned with location, description, and date. Subject matter includes wetlands, rivers, forests, and shorelines; transport of supplies; campsites; preparation of specimens; examples of vegetation; travel partners; and bird specimens and birds' nests. Locations include the vicinity of Darién, Cerro Pirre, and Boquerón. Includes photographs of Wetmore, Beatrice Thielen Wetmore, Conrad E. Yunker, and Charles M. Keenan.
