Abstract

The photograph album documents Alexander Wetmore's work in Venezuela. Alexander Wetmore traveled to the Amazonas territory of Venezuela in 1954 to take part in a ornithological expedition sponsored by William H. Phelps. Photographs include numbers, date, and caption with description and location. Subject matter includes shorelines of rivers in Amazonas territory; villages and structures along the rivers; candid images of expedition members; and curiarias. Includes photographs of Wetmore, James H. Kempton, William H. Phelps, Jr., and Kathleen D. Phelps.
