Photographs sometimes include numbers, date, and caption with description and location. Subject matter includes sites in towns; terrain of areas visited (rivers, countryside, saline flats, shorelines); candid images of Wetmore, colleagues, and locals; examination and preparation of specimens; process of making cane juice; residential structures; candid shots of archaeological excavations south of Parita, Herrera being conducted by M.W. Stirling (digging at site, preparing and photographing found materials, staff at work); staff out in the field; examples of transportation (including jeep from Albrook Air Force Base); farms and local people completing daily tasks; and observed birds (individual and groups), nests, and their environs. Sites photographed include vicinity of Barro Colorado, and the provinces of Herrera and Los Santos. Includes photographs of Wetmore, Watson M. Perrygo, Gordon Randolph Willey, Richard H. Stewart, Matthew Williams Stirling, Marion Illg Stirling, Finn Ronne, Karl P. Curtis, Howard Clark, and Alejandro Mendez P.
