Abstract

This field book documents Cooper's paleontological and geological field work in Glass Mountain, West Texas from 11-30 May 1958. Cooper describes stratigraphy of sites visited (with sketches and measurements of some layers) and notes fossils found or commonly found at various levels. Fusulines, various genera of brachiopoda, and possibly other types of fossils were found. Fossils possibly from lower Permian epoch. Locations include but are not limited to Leonard Mountain, Hess Ranch, Wolf Camp Hill, and Cathedral Mountains. The maps contain alphanumeric codes corresponding to a locality. Cooper uses these codes throughout his notes to refer to localities. Some coordinates are included. Pages 0485-0538.
