Abstract

This field book contains data from Coville's botanical collection and observation endeavors in Oregon from July 15, 1898-September 10, 1898. Dated entries contain information regarding locality and scientific name. Some entries include narrative descriptions of event surrounding the collection of specimens. Specimen no. 751-807 are represented in the volume. Localities include: Woodland, Lake Merrill, Springfield, Hood River, Eugene, Hunts Cove, and Mount Jefferson. Coville mentions that Elmer I. Applegate and Fred L. Applegate joined him on July 30, 1898.
