The photograph album compiled by A.S. Hitchcock of images from collecting trips during 1927-1929. Locations include Africa (Victoria Falls, Euphorbia, Fort Victoria, Zimbabwe, Lake challu Mt. Kilimanjaro, Naivasha); United States (Oregon (Umpqua forest), Cascade Forest, Washington, California); Canada (Newfoundland, St. John’s, Labrador); United Kingdom (Kew Gardens); Teneriffe Island; Nairobi; South Africa (Cape Town), St. Helena Island. Subject matter includes landscapes, examples of vegetation, city and village scenes; informal images of local people; formal portraits; Zimbabwe ruins.
