Abstract

Volume 1 of a black-and-white photograph album of images created during the Harriman Alaska Expedition. Images in this volume are from May to August 1899. Images depict expedition members, local inhabitants, villages, glaciers, bays, plants, a bear, sea lions, and other natural scenes. Localities include Cook Inlet, Kadiak [Kodiak], Bering Sea, Hall Island, and many others. Pages 127 to 217.
