Abstract

The journal documents Vernon Orlando Bailey's fieldwork in California, North Dakota, Oregon, June 10 - August 31, 1916. Entries are dated and describe travel details (destinations, times of day, routes, mode of travel), meetings with colleagues, observed birds (including nests and eggs), collecting activities, terrain, and vegetation (wild fruit and life zones).
