This field book contains a specimen list of botanical specimens collected by F. R. Fosberg from 1 July to 31 July 1962 in Trinidad and Jamaica. Collector numbers 42513-42972 are included. Specimen list includes scientific name, date, locality, collector number, with occasional notes on locality or physical descriptions of specimens (size, color, etc.) Some longer narrative notes document Fosberg's observations of vegetation and animals in various localities. Localities include but are not limited to: Valencia, Caroni Swamp, Arena Forest Reserve, Mt. Harris Forest Reserve, St. Augustine (Trinidad); and Cane River Falls, Galino Point, Green Hills, Caledonia Peak, Christiana, Tory Turn (Jamaica). Travel notes are also included for Florida, Cuba, Haiti, Dominican Republic, and others. A typed list of animals collected on Pedro Cays by F. R. Fosberg, July 1962, listing numbers 1-16 is inserted between pages 130 and 131. The list includes insects, crabs, and lizards. Also included is some correspondence on the Pacific Vegetation Project, a map of Trinidad, and two "Plants of Trinidad" labels (listing numbers 42549 and 42608).
