Abstract

An inserted table of contents contains a full listing of localities and corresponding collector numbers. This field book contains a specimen list of botanical specimens collected by F. R. Fosberg from 31 January to 13 September 1959 in Virginia; Maryland; New York; New Hampshire; Pennsylvania; North Carolina; Tennessee; Manitoba, and Quebec, Canada. Collector numbers 39810-40327 are included. Specimen list includes scientific name, date, locality, collector number, with occasional notes on locality or physical descriptions of specimens (size, color, etc.) Also included are travel and vegetation observation notes from Connecticut, Ohio, Indiana, West Virginia, Illinois, Wisconsin, and Minnesota. A map of Spring Mills State Park, Indiana can be found between pages 38 and 39. A typed report of Excursion 3 - Napierville can be found in the back of the book.
