Abstract

The notes document M. Moynihan's observations of Pithecia monachus (Monk saki), 1958, 1961, 1964, 1968. Note are broken into three sections. Pages are numbered. Entries are headed with date, location, and type. Observations describe individual behaviors and interactions, weather, manner of eating, appearance, grooming, cries, and time of observation. Questions and comments are often broken out from notes. Includes diagram explaining types of cries and notations indicated by pattern. Locations include Iquitos, Peru; Washington Zoo; and Barro Colorado Island, Panama.
