Abstract

This journal relates to the lists mammals and birds in Box 26 Folder 7 of the same collection. The journal is a narrative account of the mammals and birds collected or observed in Jalpan, Pinal de Amoles, Encarnacion (hidalgo,) Zuiapan, Ixmiquilpán, and Santa Rosa between 19 September and 28 November 1896. Also included are notes on vegetation, how common plant and animal species are, and elevations at which specimens are located.
