Description

The cataloged field book comes from the the papers of George Sprague Myers document his research career in ichthyology and herpetology; his teaching career at Stanford University; professional activities, especially with the ASIH; expeditions and field work; and his work as an author and editor. Included are a large file of incoming and outgoing correspondence relating to all aspects of his career; manuscripts and speeches (many of which are unpublished); notes, illustrations, and related materials generated during his research; correspondence, classroom materials, and administrative records from his teaching career; collected materials relating to his family history, education, professional career, and personal affairs; photographs of and collected by Myers; and diplomas, certificates, and awards presented to him.
