Description

This collection consists of 28 items by Karl V. Krombein from the Department of Entomology. These items detail Krombein's field work with insects, mostly wasps and bees, from 1941-1981. Localities covered by this collection include but are not limited to Maryland, Florida, Washington DC, New Guinea, the Philippines, and Sri Lanka. Notes and field books contain accounts and information on observation and capture of insects, including prey, nest, egg, and larvae details. Correspondence and miscellaneous memoranda is included, as well as some sketches and black-and-white photographs. There are also some field notes on Fi-Cord 303 audiotape reels.|This registry only describes field notes within this collection. Additional information may include correspondence, typed notes, audio transcriptions of field notes, notes not relating to biological fieldwork, and published or unpublished manuscripts and reports.
