Description

These papers document Walkinshaw's ornithological research, particularly on cranes and Kirtland's Warblers. They include correspondence with colleagues; field notes, 1918-1992; and notes, lists, and other data on birds. Much of the material focuses on the nesting habits of Sandhill Cranes. Observation locations are primarily across Canada, states Michigan (locations often indicated by county), Montana, Florida (Polk and Osceola County), and a visit to South Africa, across Asia, and Australia during the 1960's.
